Daniel Reifsnyder has worn many hats over the years - Grammy nominated songwriter, voice and piano coach, noted blogger and actor. It all began at the age of 3, when he first started taking piano lessons. By age 6, he was regularly writing songs and by age 10 he became one of the youngest published songwriters in the world, and one of the youngest members of ASCAP.
While juggling a budding career in music, Daniel was also a rising force in the acting world - both on camera and off. He worked with Lego, McDonald’s, Day’s Inn, Wendy’s, Kool-Aid, and his voice was a Saturday Morning staple, appearing in countless ads for General Mills cereals (Lucky Charms, Cocoa Puffs, Trix, etc). He also sang with Little Richard on the original Magic Schoolbus theme song, sang in the choir for Home Alone 2 (“My Christmas Tree) and appeared on an unreleased Micheal Jackson Christmas song.
In 2003, Daniel began sharing his passion and knowledge of music as a teacher - since that time, he has taught many students of all levels and goals. Some students have toured the world in bands, some have gone on to Berklee or gotten into plays and musicals, and some have simply expanded their enjoyment and knowledge of music. His unique style of teaching has garnered him many hundreds of successful, happy students over the years.
Daniel’s music career continues to thrive - he has had songs appear in movies (“Lantern’s Lane”), on the BBC (“Popularity Papers”), had songs garner multiple awards and chart on iTunes (“The Wrong Side” Alayna Carroll, #30 in UK iTunes), Texas radio charts (“Woman Up”, Tori Martin #22), as well as dozens of cuts with independent artists. Beginning in late 2022, Dan has also been releasing music with his studio project “A History of Ghosts”. He resides in Nashville with his wife and rescue animals.
Dan is a proud member of ASCAP, SAG-AFTRA, and GSC
